The world is big, and there are a lot of travel sites that you can visit for an excellent sailing experience. The natural aesthetics and the bucolic sensation of remoteness in these destinations make them far better than typical bustling tourist attractions like holiday towns and resorts.
If you can’t figure out which places to visit, don’t worry. In this post, we will be looking at some of them along with their salient traits and qualities.

The Adriatic Coast, Croatia

The Adriatic Coast, Croatia comes in at number one on our list.
Other than the beauty of nature that you can enjoy on the Adriatic Coast, such as the endless miles of beaches, and sparkling blue waters, one of the best things about this destination is the large number of uninhabited islands it comprises of. Instead of wasting your trip trapped in the hustle and bustle of the holiday crowds, the Adriatic Coast gives you ample opportunities for escaping into the wild.
There are more than 1,200 small islands around the Adriatic Coast in Croatia, only a minute percentage of which are inhabited. You can sail around these islands and even explore them if you get the chance.
Other than the islands themselves, you can also visit the different small fishing villages situated on the coast. Of course, to get the most out of your holiday travel, you will need to get in touch with the right guides and agencies who can show you the right places to go.

Lycian Coast, Turkey

The Lycian Coast in Turkey is another great place for sailing…and for more or less the same reasons as the Adriatic Coast in Croatia. Like the latter, the Lycian Coast also comes with swathes of isolated beaches and fishing villages that you can visit for getting some time away from the hubbub.
One of the special qualities of the Lycian Coast is that it is home to archaic architecture that reflects the history of the age-old Lycian empire. The looks of the mountains, cliffs, and deep blue water further add to the mysterious aesthetics of this travel destination.
The Lycian Coast isn’t as blemished with resorts and hotels as of yet, which makes it an ideal place to go for people who don’t do well with crowds. But, like every other place of its kind, human encroachment is catching on and it won’t be long before it gets transformed into a full-blown tourist hive.

Bay of Islands, New Zealand

The Bay of Islands has more reasons to be listed here other than the number of isolated (but visitable) islands it is home to. On your cruise travel, you can spot different types of aquatic wildlife like whales and dolphins. When you get a little tired on the boat, you can take a break by docking at any of the 144 islands and enjoying the idyllic scenery.
Considering the number of islands that you can visit and the wide expanse of water that you can spend time on sailing, you can have a nice and quiet adventure travel at this destination.
Of course, getting help from local guides and experts will be necessary should you want to visit the islands and explore them. Although they’re not as numerous as the ones on the Adriatic coasts, the islands in the Bay have to be navigated with care.
